Years ago I saw a film starring Timothy Dalton called 'Hawks'. The ending was very sad and made me cry. I don't know anybody else who has seen it. Maybe I bloody dreamt it.

Re: The saddest movie you've ever seen?
The most I’ve cried was, back when I was a little boy, a Tarzan film where there was an elephant, knowing it was going to die, making its way, staggering and stumbling to “the elephants’ graveyard.”

I was in bits, inconsolable, trying to explain to my mum with one long foghorn bawled word, snot running, the works.

Nothing since has come close.

RIP Nelly.

And as a bloke, Hachi: A Dog's Tale - fuck me that was sad, a true story too

Something of a theme there come to think
